How much does a bear weigh ?

Bears are the largest of predators living on our planet, both in size and power they outnumber the more famous lion and tiger. However, the bears themselves are also very popular – these animals are familiar to people from ancient times, from the peoples of all continents they were revered as the personification of strength.

People, on the one hand, admired the irresistible power of the bear, and on the other hand they considered it a welcome and honorable hunting trophy.

Systematically, bears represent a small (only 8 species) and a fairly homogeneous family of bear. All species of this family have a powerful body, thick strong limbs, armed with long curved claws.

All bears are standing upright, that is, when walking they lean against the ground with the whole plane of the foot. Because of this, they are not too graceful and maneuverable in motion, the bearded gait of the bear has become synonymous with clumsiness.
