Of all the wild animals of the cat family, the cheetah is the only one that does not know how to hide its claws. In the world there are about 70 thousand species of spiders. The largest newborn wild animal is a whale cub. The offspring of these giants has a mass of about three tons. Among all wild animals, sloths sleep most of all. But ferrets are not far behind them – if they have enough food, they sleep five times more time than they are awake. Electric stingrays and electric eels can paralyze, and even immediately kill a person. For this, they need only one electric shock. There are approximately 100 times fewer animals on our planet than existed before in the entire history we know. Crocodiles are one of the oldest wild animals. Their ancestors coexisted on Earth with dinosaurs. Giraffes are the only mammal in which the tongue is blue, not red. One of the strangest wildlife is the platypus.
