Where to see dolphins and whales?
Remember what exactly we are waiting for every day, being at sea. We go along the beach and peer into the distance. What do we want to see among the sea waves?
Dolphins. Amazing, smart creatures. Their appearance causes in the soul some kind of children’s heart-rending joy. In the world there are places where these stunning animals can swim almost next to people, where there is the opportunity to enjoy enough of them.
In doing so, be careful, because the conversation is not about the aquarium. The sea loves respect. From June to November from Cape Town to Darban – South Africa, the coast is filled with dolphins and whales.
It should be noted that these places are generally rich in interesting individuals. One can observe, for example, African penguins, as well as seals.
An ideal place for those who want to see not only dolphins, but also sperm whales. Twenty-meter toothed whales, whose weight reaches 50 tons, adore mixing warm and cold currents, which attracts them to these places.
In the city of Kaikura, you can observe whales and see another local attraction – Hector dolphins, which, unfortunately, are found only here. They are distinguished by the fact that they love to swim with people.
It is located off the coast of Spain and is popular for being full of dolphins and small, as well as fairly large whale breeds.
One of the favorite places for killer whales, blue whales and dolphins. Here you will find yourself in a real wildlife park. There is an isthmus between Fayal Island and Pico Island, along which whales and dolphins migrate.
Accordingly, it is better to watch these beautiful animals here. The best time is from May to October. On Azores there is even a museum dedicated to everything related to whales.

In the summer, from the seas close to California, a huge number of whales migrate to the southeastern coast of Alaska. This humpback, and killer whales, and gray whales. Most ecologists are glad that blue whales began to sail here. But they were very close to extinction due to the fierce hunt for them.
Of course, you can see dolphins on our coast. For example, in the area of Pitsunda – Abkhazia, they appear quite often. But these visits are single.
A maximum of two or three individuals will allow you to admire yourself. The places listed above are a paradise for dolphins and whales. Once there, you can see whole flocks in a favorable atmosphere for them. Moreover, no whale will ever appear in native waters.
July 23rd is designated as World Dolphin and Whale Day. Remember that these are very rare and amazing animals. They need to be protected.
