What do millipedes eat ?
Millipedes are harmless herbivores. They avoid bright light and feed on dead plants. There are a lot of kinds of millipedes with very bizarre names.
The length of the smallest millipedes is several millimeters, the largest is 30 centimeters. But they are also predatory legged centipedes. They have poisonous glands, the ducts of which open on the cones of the jawbones. Their bite can be dangerous even to humans.
Many people panic, start screaming and run away if they find nasty millipedes in their home. However, it is one of the most useful insects of all who are able to start up in human dwellings. The fact is that the centipede ration usually consists of insects of other species, including cockroaches, flies, moths, scales, termites and almost all other parasites that inhabit your house in large numbers.
