Our organisation maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We are fully committed to protecting children from any form of sexual exploitation, abuse, or endangerment through our app and services. This policy ensures compliance with the Google Play Developer Programme Policies and the relevant laws of the United Kingdom.
2. Definition of CSAE
For the purposes of this policy, Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) refers to any content, conduct or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Grooming: Establishing a relationship with a child, often online, to lower their inhibitions with the intention of sexually exploiting them.
- Sextortion: Coercing or blackmailing a child into sharing sexually explicit material or engaging in sexual acts, typically through digital platforms.
- Child Trafficking for Sexual Purposes: Recruiting, transporting, transferring, harbouring, or receiving a child for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
- Sexual Exploitation or Abuse: Involving a child in sexual activity, including the creation, distribution, or possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
3. App Content and Conduct Rules
Our app (Quiz and Facts) strictly prohibits:
- Any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content that depicts, promotes or glorifies CSAE.
- Any user behaviour intended to groom, solicit, or exploit children in any way.
- Any communications that encourage or pressure children to share sexually explicit content.
- Any app functionality that could be misused to harm, exploit, or endanger children.
4. Legal Compliance
This policy complies with:
- Canada’s proposed Online Harms Act (Bill C-63)
- Canada’s proposed Protecting Young Persons from Exposure to Pornography Act (Bill S-210)
- The U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
- The U.K. Online Safety Act
- The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for children
- Google Play Developer Programme Policies, particularly those concerning Child Endangerment and CSAE
- Other applicable laws that mandate the protection of children online
5. Enforcement and Action
- Immediate suspension or termination of accounts involved in CSAE activities.
- Permanent removal of any offending content from the platform.
- Reporting to law enforcement agencies for investigation and legal action where necessary.
