How much do pandas weigh ?
An adult of a large panda can weigh up to 160 kg. Like most animals, male pandas outnumber females. Female large panda rarely reach a weight of more than 100 kg. Having a height at the withers from 60 to 90 cm, the pandas are about the same size as the American black bear.
They maintain their weight, continuously eating up to 12 hours at a time, consuming more than 10 kg of bamboo a day. In fact, up to 99 percent of the diet of a large panda includes bamboo. Pandas sometimes feed on other herbs and rodents. In rare cases, they can hunt deer musk deer.
Probably, there is no animal that could easily conquer the hearts of many people so quickly. With a soft appearance, characterized by clumsiness and associated with comfort, the panda animal for a long time deceived many scientists.
Their appearance is very similar to bears, the difference between them is only in the structure of the teeth and the presence of a rather long tail. Until recently, this beast was considered a big raccoon.
