What do wild rabbits eat ?
Wild rabbits feed exclusively on plant foods. They mainly include grass and tops, and in winter, mainly hay. Much less rabbits eat beets and carrots, apples, pears and other fruits. So they eat in nature and this is the most optimal food.
I do not give my rabbits any granules, sweets, muesli and other food harmful to rabbits. And I advise all the holders of these wonderful animals to do the same.
The most important components in the proper nutrition of the rabbit are drinking water and hay, which is necessary to maintain the tone of the intestinal muscles and to ensure the removal from the body of rabbit swallowed wool.
It is given out daily unlimited quantities all year round, both to rabbits and adult individuals. The best option is fresh herb hay. Quality hay – dry, fragrant, pleasant greenish color.
