What is a baby duck called ?
A baby duck called duckling. Ducklings appear from eggs not simultaneously, but in turn. Hatched chicks are carefully taken from the nest and placed in a cardboard box on a soft litter. When the offspring of ducks appear from all the oviposition, the ducklings are put back under the hen.
Within a few days, a hen with ducks is kept separate from the rest of the herd. At first, the mother takes the young for a walk, teaches us to use the feeder and the water bowl, and swims with them. When in a few days they begin an independent life, the female again carries eggs and grows a second brood.
If the ducks are older and more experienced, then add their hatcheries to their own chicks. Birds lead up to 20-25 head of young animals.
If the landlord knows how long the ducks spend on incubation, he rationally plans preparations for the period of oviposition. Under the right conditions of care each egg will give a viable, healthy chick, and in the future a duck herd will be formed from such a stock.
