Where do ocelots live ?
Ocelot lives mainly in South and Central America, going north to Texas. Weighs from 10 to 16 kg, about 50 cm high, and reaches 1.5 m in length. It has a beautiful golden brown fur with bright, black spots of annular shape.
Ocelot goes hunting at night, hiding in the shade of the leaves of trees during the day or climbing into the hollows, where he waits for the day’s heat. He does not like open places, he likes the dense vegetation of the tropical forests.
His food is various small mammals: rodents, rabbits, lizards, birds, but there are also larger animals, like small pigs and others. Ocelot swims well, sees at night as a day, his acute hearing and sense of smell make him a successful hunter.
