Corsica is commonly associated in people as the birthplace of Napoleon. About 1140 species of mountain plants grow here, several species of oaks, beech and cork trees, Corsican alder, spruce, pine, Corsican chestnut, which is called breadfruit, olive trees are found here.
About 110 species of mammals live here, and many of them are separate subspecies, more than 80 species of birds. Often the chicks become prey to snakes, which are enough in these places.
