Lake Königssee(Königssee)

Lake Königssee, the so-called “Royal Lake”, is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Germany. It is located in southeastern Bavaria, in the community of Schönau am Königssee. Most of the lake is located within the Berchtesgaden National Park. Königssee is considered to be the cleanest lake in the world, the emerald smooth surface of which, with crystal clear water, is comfortably spread out surrounded by mighty mountains and magnificent alpine landscapes.

Lake Konigssee is very popular among travelers and tourists, primarily due to the unique nature and picturesque surroundings. People who come here to rest, do not cease to be surprised by the transparency of the water in this lake. And if you take into account the magnificent picturesque landscape that opens up around the lake, then we can easily assume that there is simply no better place in the world.

I used to hear that the cleanest lake is our Baikal. But perhaps this is not the case. After all, the Irkutsk Pulp and Paper Mill, which everyone can’t shut down, has never been able to close Baikal.

But the Germans value their lakes and nature in general. Try throwing an empty bottle in Königssee. Not a single German has enough brains for that. They even have perfect cleanliness in the parks. The water in Königssee is so clean that it is impossible to distinguish the line between water and air.
