India – the sights of Delhi

Amazing contrasting country. You can tell so much about it without telling a hundredth of it. What is remembered instantly when you say the word India? These are of course elephants, buffaloes, monkeys, ancient temples and fakirs. Some recall the story of Mowgli written by the Englishman Kipling. By the way, he did not invent a story about a boy, and a fairy tale was created on real events. It still happens from time to time.

Delhi is a fabulous city with a special flavor. City with an amazing atmosphere. There is everything and a high-tech new generation and temples that have been around for centuries. A city of contrasts in which the palaces of the rich and the hut of the poor look as if this is a completely normal neighborhood. And often seeing merry Indian children do not know that it is better to be rich and to be always supervised or to be poor and to do whatever your heart desires.
The city is filled with architectural artifacts that are now carefully preserved in India. But there is still something interesting. For example, if you go along the road, and on the road itself you suddenly see a lying buffalo, then you will have to drive around it or stand and wait when the animal moves away from the road. Do you know why? Because this animal is sacred and it’s not something to touch, you can’t even yell at it. That is why buffaloes and elephants enjoy this privilege – they wander where they want and when they want. So traffic jams in Moscow will seem good to you.

Ganges. This is a river, but not simple. Also sacred. Hindus say that their life begins from this river and ends there. As for the beginning, this is doubtful, but what ends is a fact. In India, it is customary not to bury the dead in the ground, they are burned there. And just one of the Golden Temples stands on the banks of the sacred Ganges River. Memorial services are held in this temple. The dead are burned, and the ashes are scattered over the waters of the river.

And a little further from the temple, local laundresses wash clothes, and some even bathe. In general, for us with you is a complete lack of sanitation, and for them – the truth of life.

Surprisingly, in the same place in Delhi you can meet with snakes. Yes, it is a fact. And they, too, are not particularly struggling. Previously, the townspeople simply moved to another place. Now there are special services that are engaged in the relocation of snakes. And many are simply not afraid of them, and even children play with snakes.

Speaking of India, you remember the Taj Mahal. White stone structure that surprises with its pristine beauty. White with gold, minarets and a beautiful dome are all details. It is worth seeing in all its glory and especially at sunset, when all the gold suddenly flashes and as it were saying goodbye to the departing day. Needless to say, what happens at dawn too?
