The cave was accidentally discovered in 1951 by one of the workers of the quarry. However, history proves that in the old days the cave was already known. An interesting Czech legend is related to this. According to this legend, the first long time ago the cowherd discovered the cave, which was attracted by a hole in the mountain. Together with the cave, the shepherd discovered a secluded place for counterfeiters. They took his word that the shepherd would not tell anyone, and they would not kill him. The shepherd could not resist and a few days later told fellow villagers about counterfeiters. However, when people came to the cave, nobody was there. But counterfeiters were in a hurry, and somewhere in the depths of the cave their box office remained.
The cave became accessible to tourists in 1959. The observation complex consists of three levels, each of which has its own name, and its total length is more than two kilometers. The caves are a true wonder of nature. Here you can see a variety of color shades. The walls of the cave are covered with fancy patterns. In the caves you can see the real kingdoms of stalactites and stalagmites, which will not leave anyone indifferent. Scientists claim that the caves were formed 25 million years ago under the influence of moisture on limestone. You can see here and semi-precious stones – opals.
