Resort Podebrady
The Czech town of Podebrady is located in the Polabska harvest plain, historians attribute it to the places where the settlements were still in the late Stone Age. The city acquired the title of a resort only at the beginning of the twentieth century, when in 1905 healing mineral springs were opened, which served as the basis for creating a natural hospital.
The resort in Podebrady was developing rapidly; during World War I, it was slightly neglected. But already in 1926, with the efforts of Dr. Václav Libensky, the first health center was opened – the “Examination and Treatment Institution”.
