East Pearl Tower – Shanghai

Almost in each of the largest cities of the world there are special places, from where unique magnificent views are opened. For example, in London – the famous Ferris wheel, a kind of “Eye of London”. In Paris – the Eiffel Tower, and in Venice – the wonderful Campanila. In Chinese Shanghai, this place is the TV tower, proudly referred to as the “Pearl of the East”.

Its height reaches 468 meters, and its weight is more than 120 thousand tons. Interestingly, its external design resembles a string of pearls in a case. From here and such sweet and very poetic name.

Here you can see mock-ups of old Shanghai streets and a lot of old unique photographs. Be sure to try to feel how the original layouts of the Beijing Opera quite successfully coexist with the layouts of trading on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, presenting the most diverse aspects of society.

You may notice that some of the expositions are supplemented with wax figures, and a separate variety of genre scenes are embodied with the help of emerald, pearl, agate, jade and even diamonds.

With the onset of darkness, the “Pearl of the East” flashes with new colors of the variety of multicolored lights. In the soft light of the lanterns, numerous fountains with cool jets of water sparkle delicately with overflows of neon lights.

Not far from this popular attraction is the famous Shanghai Aquarium. By visiting it, you can head off into the water world and watch the unusual life of stingrays, sharks, turtles, penguins.
