The biosphere, like the technosphere, surrounds us, we actually live in them. Both are part of the global ecosphere, but there is one significant difference – the biosphere on Earth can exist without the technosphere, but on the contrary – no. However, this is relevant for the Earth. On some hypothetical spacecraft, the existence of the biosphere would have been impossible without the technosphere. But first things first.
The biosphere is the aggregate of all living organisms on our planet, the results of their life activity. In fact, this is the shell of our planet, in which scientists include all living organisms, without exception, starting from the simplest and ending with us.
And the biosphere existed on the Earth not always – it began to form only together with the appearance of the first living microorganisms, and by our time has reached the level of development that we can observe with our own eyes.
The technosphere, on the other hand, is the totality of all that has been done by man. Sometimes the technosphere is considered as part of the biosphere, transformed by mankind for its needs. Roads, factories, houses, fields and river dams are all part of the technosphere. Year by year, the share of the technosphere in the world is increasing, and the biosphere is falling, and some scientists believe that in the future the environment will completely replace the techno-environment, where all resources will be disposed of and reused for saving.
