During Roman times, Vienna grew in size in concentric circles. The central part of the city, also called the inner city, almost coincides with the borders of the district, which is the first in a row. The ring – ring is a chain of boulevards that form the very first ring. The history of this ring begins in the reign of Franz Yosif first, in 1857, when the emperor issued a decree on the removal of large fortifications. The second ring – Gyurtel – its length is 15 km, it limits the interior of the city, from the second to the ninth. This ring has swallowed the villages and parish churches, which in the past surrounded the capital.
Now Vienna is one of the typical European cities, with clean streets, green parks and a huge number of outlets, which boils a vibrant life. With all this, a very well developed transport network.
